Design that ships,
and a system behind it.

I take on a small number of client engagements alongside product work — the kind where the deliverable is a working system, documented decisions, and screens a developer can build without guessing.

Brand identity & systems

Identity built as a system, not a logo file — voice, color, type and usage rules documented so the brand survives its second and third surface. Recent: the Sunlit Porch identity behind SeniorConnect USA.

Product & UI/UX design

End-to-end product design for web and mobile — research, information architecture, flows, and high-fidelity UI. Ten years in, including two years as sole product designer on a clinical EMR used by physicians.

Design systems architecture

Tokens, components, states and the decision log behind them — built to be handed straight to developers. The goal is that the third feature ships cheaper than the first.

Web design & front-end build

Designed and built, not designed then thrown over a wall — semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript, performance-minded and responsive. This site is the working sample.

Accessibility-first design

WCAG-minded from the first artboard: contrast, focus, reading order and plain language treated as design inputs, not a compliance pass at the end. Proven on a platform for operators aged 50+.

How an engagement runs

Scope first, in writing — the problem, the operator it serves, and what "done" means. Work happens in visible increments: you review rendered screens and working pages, not status reports. Handoff includes the system, not just the artboards.
